About the practitioner
Ashley Callen Kissinger, L.Ac., holds a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine and specializes in women’s health. During her study at Five Branches University, she focused on gynecology and oncology, both at the university clinic and in various integrated hospitals in Hangzhou, China. She is nationally certified through the National Certification Commission.
Before returning to her home state and joining Thrive Integrative Medicine, Ashley was in private practice at Remedy Acupuncture in San Francisco, where she provided thousands of treatments to young professionals in the Financial District. Ashley has always enjoyed being involved in larger medical systems and has provided acupuncture care at UCSF as well as Emory Healthcare.
During her time volunteering at Charlotte Maxwell Clinic , Ashley provided acupuncture services to women with cancer to help ease the discomfort associated with cancer and its treatment. She is a proud member of the Society for Integrative Oncology and has completed the Memorial Sloan Kettering post graduate training for oncology acupuncture.
Ashley began her journey into the world of health and healing at 19 by studying neuromuscular therapy in Atlanta. Along the way, she has been fortunate to consult with leaders in the field such as Raven Lang, acupuncturist and midwife, Robert Levine, pulse diagnosis expert and Don Schuman. Her mentors also include Dr. Sharon Feng, who she studied with until her last day in practice at Five Branches.
